Students expecting
to obtain financial aid, including loans, for
the upcoming academic year may begin applying
January 1st.
The priority
deadline for financial aid is:
March 2nd
Students should submit a completed FAFSA
application by this deadline even if your
admission status has not been determined!!
*New
deadline -Students chosen for Verification must
submit properly completed verification
documents to the Financial Aid Office
by JUNE 1st.

IMPORTANT
FAFSA INFORMATION:
You
must re-apply for financial aid every year
by submitting the
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Please
note: UCSDs Title IV School Code is 00131700.
When filing your FAFSA, keep in mind the following:

To help
you complete your FAFSA on the web, a worksheet
is available in our
office or can be downloaded at http://www.fafsa.gov
-
You
do not need to complete your tax return
or wait for W-2s to file
your FAFSA. Estimate the
amounts and then update your estimates once
your tax returns are filed.

Students
applying to the M. Ed, M.A./ASL, M.A./CD,
or Ed.D programs should answer question
#49 in Step
Three of the FAFSA with "Yes".
- If
you do not receive a Student Aid
Report email or notice from the
Department
of Education
processor
three to four weeks after you have
filed your FAFSA, follow up with
the processor
on the receipt of your
application. The processor can be
reached at 1-800-4FED AID (1-800-433-3243).
Options
for filing your FAFSA
Students
who wish to be considered for UCSD Graduate
Grant Aid for Summer enrollment at
UCSD should file the FAFSA
by March 2nd and
should submit the EDS Summer Session
Financial Aid Request form to the
Financial Aid Office by the deadline date
of May 1st. If chosen for Verification you
should submit all necessary verification
related documents to the Financial Aid office
by June 1st.
